Important Information

Use of the field is entirely at your own risk. The Potterings, as a trading name of Potter Paws Ltd, accepts no liability for the death of or any injury to any person or dog, or for damage to any property whilst using our facility. The Potterings also accepts no liability for any losses, claims, actions, damages, costs, expenses or other liability incurred whilst onsite. Vehicles and contents are left at their owner’s risk. Yours and your dogs’ behaviour and actions are your sole responsibility and no claim can be made against The Potterings, trading name of Potter Paws Ltd.

You are liable for any damage caused inside and outside of the field by you, your dog(s) or any person in your party. All dogs must be covered under their own third-party insurance (public liability insurance). This is usually included in your pet insurance.

We are located in a semi-rural setting in close proximity to neighbours, so above all else please MINIMISE NOISE DISTURBANCES AND BE MINDFUL OF THE LOCAL RESIDENTS. Please restrict dogs barking as much as possible and adults/children should also avoid being too vocal.

The field should only be used for the primary purpose of dog exercise. The Potterings may not be suitable for all dogs due to the proximity of livestock, sounds of neighbouring farm dogs, gun shots and bird scarers. Please assess the suitability for your own dog. Every effort is made to maintain the field but it should be noted and accepted that the field may be muddy and the ground is likely to be uneven in places as you’d find in any rural setting. Users must also inspect the field to ensure that it is suitable for use by their dog/s, fence height etc.

Field Users





​Field bookings begin on the hour during opening times. Each session lasts 50 minutes, allowing an extra 10 minutes for you to exit the car park prior to the next appointment. Ensuring you secure/lock the gate behind you. Dogs must be back in the car within the 50minute session so you are ready to leave in good time for the next user to enter at their allotted time.

​You are required to adhere to your time slot at all times. If you arrive late for your slot, unfortunately, you will still need to vacate the field at your booked end time. Please leave promptly at the end of your session. Any user who overstays will be restricted from using the field in the future.

​PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE MORE THAN 2-3 MINUTES EARLY before your session start time as this will limit the enjoyment of the users before you and/or cause their dogs’ stress. When arriving early please remain parked at the end of the driveway, until the previous user has left the field, secured it behind them and made their way down the drive.

All field use is pre-booked only!

Arriving & Leaving our Venue

Upon arrival, please take time to see if the previous user is still on site – this should be obvious if there is or is not another car parked within the field and should be visible from the end of the driveway.

If no-one is present and it is your allotted time, please proceed into the field.

If the previous user is still onsite, it is ESSENTIAL that you ensure you wait at the end of the drive to give the previous user time to leave. Please ensure you and your dog remain in your car until the previous user has secured the gate and left the vicinity. This is to ensure the comfort of all users, especially reactive or fearful dogs.

All users will be expected to lock the gate behind them before leaving EVEN if someone is parked waiting for their session – this is to ensure only registered, pre-booked users can gain access to the field.

If the previous appointment is still in the field when your booking time starts, please inform us immediately.

Never enter the enclosed field while somebody else is in it. There is a padlock to lock yourself in to prevent anyone from entering when you are inside.

Upon arrival please drive through the gate into the parking area INSIDE the fenced field and close/padlock the gate behind you. Cars must be parked inside the field and not left on the driveway, in the turning area outside the field or in the waiting area at the bottom of the drive for the duration of your session.

​All dogs MUST be kept within your vehicle until the gate is fully secured and locked behind you. Dogs must NEVER be allowed to run free outside of the fenced area or left unattended.

At the end of your slot please ensure you fully close and secure the gate with padlock, even if the next user is waiting. Please ensure you leave promptly so as not to delay the next user.

Please note: Maximum of 2 cars on site at any one time – both cars MUST be parked INSIDE the fenced area for the duration of your session.

General Information & Etiquette

All users (people and dogs) enter the field at their own risk. Use of our equipment is completely at your own risk, please conduct your own safety checks and remember you are totally responsible for the welfare of your children and your dog(s) at all times.

Please supervise your dog at all times and DO NOT allow your dogs to damage any equipment – if you cause damage or discover any damage, please inform us immediately.

Dogs and children should never be left unattended in the field.

Our equipment is designed to be used by dogs only. Please do not let your children play with or climb on such equipment.

We do not support or encourage the use of ball throwers or excessive playing of fetch during your visit due to the high impact, intensity and risk of injury this creates.

Please ensure you clear up after your dog and do not leave any poo in the field. We politely request that if you see any dog poo left on the field, that you kindly collect and dispose of this in order to keep the field clean and hygienic.

Please place poo bags in the bins provided – please note these are for poo bags only. Please take any other rubbish/litter home.

If applicable, any damage to any of our fencing or equipment is payable by you.

We rely on a good relationship with our neighbours – please ensure you keep noise to a minimum. Whilst we understand that dogs will bark if we receive any reports of excessive barking this could result in you not being able to use the field again in the future.
By upsetting our neighbours, we may lose the ability to use the field for our dog’s freedom!

Should your dog escape from the field, any damage caused to property or other animals is completely your responsibility and is payable by you.

Please be aware that the field may be muddy, particularly during the winter months so ensure that you wear appropriate footwear.

​Please do not climb on fencing or gates

Do not drop litter or leave toys or uneaten treats in the field. Dogs may swallow them and become ill so please take everything home with you at the end of your session.

​No smoking anywhere on site.

​​No grooming anywhere on site.

​No drones or other mechanically propelled devices are permitted on the fields

​If dogs wish to dig, encourage them to use the digging pit provided. DO NOT ALLOW your dogs to dig holes in the field. Any holes dug outside of the pit must be refilled before you leave and reported for safety and security reasons.

The Potterings, trading name of Potter Paws Ltd is not liable for any death, damage, injury or loss to any person or animal while using the facility or the equipment within it, or to any third party as a result of any person or dog.

​The enrichment equipment (logs, tyres, walks etc) is designed for canine use only. Before using the facility or the equipment within it, visit the vet to ensure that dogs are physically fit and strong enough to perform activities.

​Do not use equipment in wet or icy conditions as surfaces become slippery.

Dogs must never be picked up/placed on obstacles but instead left to explore them freely and only if they choose to.

​Never push dogs to do anything that they are not physically or mentally capable of. Allow dogs to go at their own pace and always give them the option of not doing an activity.


One of the registered users on your account must remain present throughout the booked session time.

Maximum of 4 dogs (2 cars) per session unless prior agreement with us.

If you are booking to share a slot with a friend each individual person/dog must be registered, vaccination card submitted and have completed our introduction video to attend. All shared use hire held in the field are completely at the organisers and participants own risk.

We do not allow users to invite a trainer, behaviourist or other canine professional to join you for your session. All Canine Professionals are required to register independently with us prior to using the field in a professional capacity.

Health & Welfare

We DO NOT permit use of any aversive training methods, equipment or behaviour at any time. Such methods and equipment include (but are not limited to) Shock collars, Prong/Pinch collars, Choke/Check collars and Spray collars (such as anti-bark collars)

We require all dogs to be fully vaccinated or titre tested and regularly treated for flea, tick and worm prevention to enable them to use our facility. We will require proof of vaccination card prior to your first booking with us.

If your dog has been unwell (sickness, diarrhoea, kennel cough) in the 48hours prior to your booking please contact us ASAP where we will advise whether you are able to attend or whether your session will be rearranged. Ignoring this rule will result in immediate termination of your ability to book our facility.

Canine Professionals

​To ensure safety and security standards, dog trainers and behaviourists working with their clients will only be allowed by prior arrangement.

Professional dog walkers/boarders can hire our facility subject to prior approval.


If you see a breach in our fencing, or your dog/children causes a breach, you must report this to us immediately!

Our fence boundary is 2 metres in height. If your dog(s) breach these boundaries, we will not be held responsible. It is totally and completely your responsibility to gauge your dog’s ability of escaping from these boundaries.

You must NOT share the padlock code you receive with any other person. Sessions are non-transferable between users.

We request that the field gate is closed and padlocked once you are parked. We will not be held responsible for you not closing gates and securing the field for your own use.

We kindly request that you close and padlock the gate properly upon vacating the field at the end of your booked time slot – even if the next person has arrived.

Cancellations & Booking Amendments

No extension for late arrivals will be made.

No refunds will be made for no-shows

All cancellations made less than 48 hours will be charged the full booked price (Members see members section), session times can be amended when advised at least 48hours in advance.

We reserve the right to close the field at any time, for which a full refund will be given. Cancellation will be notified to the field user/booker.

Field Membership

By becoming a Member, you will be entitled to priority booking. At any one time you will be able to view availability 60 days in advance (non-members can only view 30days in advance)

Members can cancel or rebook a session up to 24hours before your session time. Any members cancellations of less than 24 hours & ‘no shows’ will be charged the full booked price and are unable to be rearranged.

If you require more sessions in addition to your allowance, these will be available at a discounted price.

All of your sessions MUST have the registered user present, you cannot share or gift your sessions to a friend if you are unable to make use of your full allowance per month.

Monthly rolling membership with your fee payable in advance – membership will automatically be taken on the same date each month for that month e.g., Payment taken on 1st January will cover 1st-31st January

One months’ notice is required for cancellation of field membership and should be given by the first day of your final month’s membership

If for any reason the field is unavailable for hire due to circumstances outside of our control i.e., weather, road closures – your remaining sessions that month will be rolled to the next month at our discretion

As a member you have visibility & access to book an extra 30 days in advance, however bookings are taken on a first come first served basis and we cannot be held accountable if suitable dates/times are not available

We politely ask that when booking sessions please consider other members requirements and be courteous when booking your sessions.

These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.

We reserve the right to ban users from booking our field should they mis-use or abuse the facilities.
